Client story

She woke up every morning dreading herself.

Anna had spent years holding everything together on the outside while quietly falling apart within. This is the story of how she found her way back — and what that journey actually looked like.

Where it began: the weight no one could see.

Anna arrived not in crisis — but in that quieter, more exhausting state that so many people know: the feeling of being permanently behind yourself. Each morning brought a familiar heaviness. Anxiety she couldn’t explain. Self-doubt that had become so familiar it felt like her own voice. Years of emotional pain and unresolved trauma had slowly, steadily severed her connection to herself — to her instincts, her desires, her sense of being someone who deserved good things.

She didn’t know exactly what had happened, or when. She only knew that somewhere along the way, she had lost the thread — and she was no longer sure she had the strength to find it again.

The work: going beneath the surface.

From the very first session, it was clear that Anna needed more than coping strategies. She needed to understand the roots — the internalized beliefs, the absorbed expectations of others, the moments she had swallowed her own needs to keep the peace. The work began there: gently, carefully, without force.

Using an integrative approach that addressed mind, body, and spirit together, we began to identify the original sources of her pain — and to carefully release the emotional charge still attached to them. Alongside this, meditation and visualisation practices helped Anna reconnect with her body. Boundary-setting exercises gave her new language for her own needs. Compassionate self-reflection replaced the internal critic that had been running on loop for years.

It was not always comfortable. Real change rarely is. But Anna showed up — session after session — with a courage that was already there, waiting to be recognised.

"Working with Évi was a turning point in my life. For the first time, I felt truly seen, supported, and equipped to heal on all levels. This experience gave me back my voice — and my freedom."

The shift: from surviving to authoring.

The transformation did not arrive all at once — it came in moments. The first time Anna said no to something that would have diminished her, and felt steady afterwards. The first time she recognised an old pattern before it swept her away. The first morning she woke up and the weight was simply — lighter.

Gradually, the story she told about herself changed. She stopped seeing herself as a victim of her circumstances and began to experience herself as the author of what came next. Her past did not disappear — but it lost its power to define her. Instead, it became something she could draw on: evidence of her own resilience, proof that she had already survived the hardest part.
